The wedding between Naza Group heir Faliq Nasimuddin and Berjaya group heiress Chryseis Tan embraced Malay and Chinese wedding traditions, according to photos shared by the groom's brother SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin on Instagram on Saturday (Feb 3). The pair were married at a private ceremony on Friday that took place at The Chateau at Bukit Tinggi in Pahang, amid a dreamy set-up with a floral backdrop and pastel theme, attended by friends and family, The Star reported. Faliq 33, is the fourth of five children of the late founder of Naza Group, SM Nasimuddin SM Amin. He is currently the deputy executive chairman and group managing director of real estate developer Naza TTDI. Chryseis, 29, is the daughter of one of Malaysia's most recognisable tycoons, Vincent Tan, the founder of Berjaya Corporation. She is also chief executive of Berjaya Times Square, a giant shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur. The photos shared by the groom's brother showed Faliq and his band of brothers (Heng Dai or best men) playing "gate-crashing" games when they picked up the bride at The Chateau. Traditionally, during Chinese weddings, the bride's maids of honour set up a series of challenges for the groom and his Heng Dai to accomplish before they are allowed to take the bride to the groom's tea ceremony. Bling it on: Children of Asia's richest not shy about flaunting it "The most hardcore Heng Dai crew to ensure Faliq secured his bride," SM Nasaruddin, who was among the 10 groomsmen, said in his Instagram post on Saturday. In the photos, Faliq looked dashing in a luxurious maroon red samfu (traditional Chinese men's wear) while the groomsmen donned matching outfits in royal blue. They arrived at the bride's venue in a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG holding red Chinese fans and were photographed laughing as they played gate-crashing games, one of which required them to pass apples among each other using only their mouths.
